This is Candace with the balloon she gave me for Valentines Day. Candace was so excited when she came in the house and handed me a red bag with valentine gifts. Her little face was so filled with excitement and anticipation as I pulled out each gift and said, "Oh thank you Candace, this is so pretty!" I wish that you could've seen her precious little face and how happy she was to give me these gifts! I will never forget that look. It just melted my heart. What a sweet memory. Of course I hugged her and kissed her and I got lots of kisses and hugs back !

Emmas' World
Emma says and does the cutest and funniest things. Four is a cute age, they talk a lot, begin to reason verbally and want to try many new things. Emma asked me one night if she could use my camera to take pictures. I consented. First she chose to take a picture of me, then she said, "Can I take a picture of you and grandpa holding hands?!!' She had such a twinkle in her eye and was so excited. That picture is the one in this blog. She's pretty handy with the camera if I do say so myself. I was contemplating making a blog on just Emma & Candaces sayings and doings but until I get to that I want to share a few of Emmas sayings here. One evening Emma asked me if she could PLEASE use my old hair dryer. It's one from the 1960s with the plastic bonnet. I put it on her after her bath, as she was dressed in her warm jammies and fluffy pink robe and sitting on my bed with the hair dryer running she said," Oh! This is working very well! It's perfect-ula!" Yesterday at dinner I made sandwhiches. When I made Emmas sandwhich she asked, "Grandma can I please have a pickle and five olives, if you can afford it?" Then this morning I heard her talking to her mom and she said,"Exercise means that you CAN jump in the house, I saw it on TV! When I am done with my cereal I am SO going to work my body!" She is so funny! I'll keep you up to date on these as more come out of her mouth. I'm going to start writing them in a book. What fun!
The Art Of Nail Painting
I went into the bathroom to put the clean towels away and when I came out I found Emma painting Candaces toes! They sure are quick! I always know when it gets quiet somethings amiss! Candace was very happy as you can see. Emma was engrossed in her pedicure procedure! They are so fun and bring me more joy and happiness than you could imagine. When I asked ,"What are you two doing?" The replies were; Emma- "I'm painting Candaces' piggy toes!" Candace- "Emma's painting my piggies Grandma! Want her to paint yours?!!"
