I would like to introduce you to "Bunny". If you know Candace then you know Bunny is her oxygen. Bunny has been with Candace since the beginning and attends all family functions, doctor appointments, playground events, swimming, church and car rides. Bunny calms Candace as no human being can. Bunny is there when she falls, when she's tired,lonely and scared. Bunny is her shadow, her confidante! Bunny goes everywhere she/we go. Get the picture? Today Brandi, Candace and I went grocery shopping. Grocery shopping went well. But grocery shopping is tiring especially when you're getting a cold, as Candace was. So we load the van and get seated and Candace tries to take her coat off while buckled in her car seat...then begins to cry uncontrollably. I talked very calmly to her and said, "Honey I know that you are frustrated because you can't get your coat off, but it's too cold out to take your coat off now. It will be Ok." She cried even harder. I looked at Brandi and said,"Where's Bunny?' She said, "Oh we left him at home." I said, "You WHAT?!" (I'm really thinking,"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKIN" MIND!!") Candace continued to cry and I and Brandi talked calmly and softly to her...I headed down boulevard adjacent to Giant Eagle as she continued crying then...silence. Just as I thought well our calmness worked, she yelled, "McDonalds! I want chicken! Can I have chicken?!" Yes we gave in. Well what did you expect? Bunny was not there!
